The Forgotten Garden Photography Competition has been run this season. Our independent judge awarded the adult prize to a committee member and so this has been passed on to the under sixteen winner – Miss Scarlet Wright aged 9years from S Devon .

Judges comments :

1st BJ7 The church in the snow it has a lead in line from the left bottom corner, drawing your eye around to the church, then the bank brings you around to the tower. The trees and bushes helps to stop your eye wondering out of the picture. I do think a little bit of lightening of the church would benefit this image. Well Done.

2nd G5 Planting of the tree this is what Lewtrenchard is all about, encouraging and teaching the youngsters from the school all about what the garden is for. Try not to cut people in half when taking this sort of shot, you have two lead in lines, both bring you around to the tree. Well Done.

3rd G1 The flood, I had to pick this one, it shows how a few days can change a landscape, I have only seen this view when it is so calm. Great angle of the river, you have a dull day but have used it to your advantage. Well Done.
