Data Protection Legislation May 2018

It has come to the committee’s notice that as of 25 May 2018 new Data Protection legislation comes into operation which will affect even organisations as small as the Friends of the Forgotten Garden of Lewtrenchard. As a result we will only keep paper membership forms with contact details relating to paid up members and entities such as companies affiliated to us.

We take the utmost care with your information and we will never share your information with any third parties or other companies. You will always have the right to withdraw your permission to store your information at any time by a simple request by letter or email back to the Chairman.

Email lists of our members will be held only on the Chairman’s passworded computer specifically for the emailing of our members. To enable us to do this properly please either print-off the attached form and send it back or, at the least, email by return saying YES CONTINUE EMAIL or NO DISCONTINUE.

The payment of our membership will be taken as annual acknowledgement of agreement to this policy and the future supply of our emails and Newsletters. For further information please contact our Chairman or other committee member.
